Ryan Patterson set out to experience the joys of stoic travel. He wants to travel around the world without taking a plane.

He was halfway across the planet when the Coronapocolypse hit.

As a result, he got stuck in Siberia. And in the winter.

He took:

  • Amtrak from San Francisco to New Orleans
  • Greyhound bus to Florida
  • A container ship to cross the Atlantic (10 days x $200/day).
  • Random ground transportation through Eurasia.

He had a phobia of traveling in places that don't speak English. But he faced his fear. And explains how he survived.

Ryan learns that Russian women dig men with beards.
